Description
Over all length 9 – 10mm. A beige coloured fly with red eyes, a hairy thorax and unmarked abdomen.
Habitat
Woodland edge and shaded spots.
Status and Distribution
Fairly widespread in the south, less common further north. Fairly frequent on the reserve.
Best Time to See
May to October.
