Description
Body length 2.5 to 3.5mm. All Black except for dark red eyes. The legs are quite long with the hind tibiae thickened and the thorax is humped.
Habitat
Hedgerows and open spaces, where they feed on other small insects.
Status and Distribution
Common and widespread in Britain, particularly towards the west. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best Time to See
May to October.
