Three Sand Martins have arrived and were seen over the river, close to the railway bridge. JDn. In the evening
Bearded Tit – 23rd March
This morning at least two Bearded Tits were present in the reed beds in the Deep Pit. LD/PD.
Mandarin – 20th March
This afternoon a male Mandarin was on the Trent, near the Poulter Brook, and a pair of Goosanders were nearby.
Great White Egret – 14th March
This morning, during the Monthly Bird Count, a Great White Egret was seen over the Large Gravel Pit and eight
Goosander – 8th March.
A pair of Goosander were on the river this morning and a large flock of winter thrushes were on the
