14th July – Peregrine again
A Peregrine falcon again upset Lapwings and Gulls on the slurry this morning. After a couple of flights around it

A juvenile Peregrine panicked the gulls and Lapwings on the Slurry Lagoon this afternoon and a Grasshopper Warbler was reeling

During this morning’s Bird Count, at least four Grasshopper Warblers were heard, three Black-tailed Godwits rested for a while on
Pyramidal Orchids – 8th July
Another 21 Pyramidal Orchids were found on the north facing slope of the Deep Pit. A Hobby was the cause

A Hobby stirred up the Swallows by the Railway Bridge just before a downpour forced us to take shelter under

A Black-tailed Godwit was on the Slurry Lagoon for most of the day. Up to four Grasshopper Warblers were reeling

Three Little Ringed Plover were on the Slurry Lagoon with the gulls and terns this afternoon.
Black-tailed Godwit – 1st July
Seven Black-tailed Godwits were present on the Slurry Lagoon late afternoon feeding and preening.
