Ringed Plover – 23rd August

This morning, during the ‘Wildlife Walk’, a juvenile Ringed Plover and two Snipe were on the Slurry Lagoon beach. On the inner bank of the Deep Pit, from the Pylon Path, a beautiful, yellow breasted juvenile Willow Warbler preened itself in the sun and a Clouded Yellow appeared to be egg laying on the Bird’s-foot Trefoil. Meanwhile, in the sky above three Buzzards were soaring and the male Peregrine flew in to land on its favourite pylon. PS.
