Description
Forewing length – 7.5 – 10.5mm. Over all light brown marbling with a broad darker central bar and two similar but incomplete bars towards the wingtip
Habitat
Open areas, grassland, gardens, woodland and hedgerows. The larval foodplant is dandelions.
Status and Distribution
Restricted mainly to England and Wales and commonest in the south. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best Time to See
May to September.
