Description
Body length 1.8 to 2.3mm. The first generation, on Dogwood, is black with a waxy coating. The later generations have moved to the secondary host and are pinkish and waxy.
Habitat
Habitats where Dogwood and Rose-bay Willowherb can be found. Often brown-field sites.
Status and Distribution
Fairly common and widespread where its host plants can be found. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best Time to See
April to September.
