Description
Wing length 10.5mm. A large tachinid with red-tinging on the scutellum.
Habitat
Meadows and brown-field sites. Hosts are Tiger Moths and Eggars.
Status and Distribution
Widespread but local throughout most of Britain. Uncommon in Nottingham and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best Time to See
May to September.
