Green Sandpiper – 2nd November

The Greylag Geese left their roost on the Slurry Lagoon quite late today. The sub-adult male Marsh Harrier was also up late and the Pintail were still about. A Green Sandpiper flew in to the Beach and joined the Lapwings and there were one or two Redwings and Fieldfares about and a Red Kite flew over and later came back with a second Red Kite. A Raven was heard calling from near the river and the passage of Skylarks continued sparsely overhead. The “White” Buzzard was present again by the Large Gravel Pit. PS.

Red Kite – Peter Smith.
