Willow Tit – 9th September
Early this afternoon a Willow Tit was seen along the Lower Path. On the Slurry Lagoon there was a Dunlin

A very cold day at the lagoons. The Teal on the Slurry Lagoon were all out, standing on the ice.
Common Sandpiper – 27th July
This morning a Common Sandpiper was on the Wader Scrape. There was also a Little Egret and three Teal on
Mute Swan – 19th February
Across the river from the reserve, a herd of almost sixty Mute Swans are feeding on  the rape field. Most
Pintail – 5th January
This morning there were four Little Egrets, a Kingfisher, Grey Wagtail and Chiffchaff along the Ouse Dyke. The Slurry Lagoon
Curlew – 17th March
This morning the Little Ringed Plover was seen again on the Wader Scrape, along with 32 Gadwall, 2 Teal and
Chiffchaff – 13th January
The weather was cold with a dusting of snow on the ground when we met at dawn to do the

Today, during the Patchwatch, 74 species of bird were seen on the site. There were good numbers of Lesser Redpoll
